Dedicated and Private VLANs: A dedicated and private VLAN and subnet can be added to a system to provide network isolation and dedicated IP address space. A VLAN creates a virtual local network segment for your systems that is isolated from any other networks other than the Layer 3 gateway. This isolation protects against low level network attacks such as ARP poisoning or MAC flooding. The dedicated VLAN also includes a subnet of 3 usable public IP addresses. Additional IP addresses are available upon request and justification of need. Additional private VLANs can be added to meet advanced networking needs.
